Knight Support Arusha started as small sub office in 2001 predominantly for guarding Vodacam and other cell sites in and around Arusha.
Knight Support then introduced the Paramedic Unit in 2004 to support this office and to meet the demands of the many medical evacuations Knight Support were called upon to assist with from the town, the bush and the daunting Mount Kilimanjaro.
By 2006 Knight Support Arusha became a fully fledged branch in 2006 with its office Dodoma Road, Arusha offering services in Security, Fire and Ambulance.

- Darryl Travis
Darryl Travas, Operations Manager.
Darryl has been running the operations aspect of Knight Support Arusha since 2001. He has been instrumental in the growth of business in and around Arusha. He is a Tanzanian citizen of Goan origin. He is fluent in English & Kiswahili and speaks a little Portuguese.
Darryl overseas the Security Guarding Services, the Paramedic Department and the Fire Department. Darryl is always on hand to assist with any incident which occurs and his quiet soothing persona has a very calming effect on any emergency situation. Darryl is well known in Arusha and a great ambassador for Knight Support.

- Gideon Mambo
Gideon Mambo. Operations Officer.
Gideon joined Knight Support Dar es Salaam in 2001 as Operations Officer deployed at UNDP. He then moved to Arusha in November 2007 as Operations Officer and deals with security, personnel and all disciplinary aspects. Gideon is retired from TPDF as an Airforce pilot with the rank of Captain in 1994 with the 603 Military Unit. He qualified at CANADIAN FORCES AIRCRAFT SCHOOL – Borden Base in 1973 and Manchester UK in 1978.
Emanuel Kyungai:
Joined Knight Support in 2003 as a mobile driver and later undertook additional duties overseeing guards at the out of town sites in Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Manyara Regions.
Emanuel is now an Emergency Medical Technician Driver for the Ambulance Service. He also turns his hand to light maintenance on the Arusha Fleet of vehicles.

- Lead Paramedic Josephine Nangay
PARAMEDIC UNIT
Josephine Nangay. Lead Paramedic.
Josephine qualified as a Midwife in 1994 and gained experience in Mission run hospitals at Machame and Haydom. She is the Lead Paramedic of the small but very effective and efficient Paramedic Team in Arusha.
Josephine is an excellent and patient instructor for all First Aid training conducted by Knight Support in Arusha. She has lead her team on many medical evacuations in and around Arusha and quite a few evacuations off Mount Kilimanjaro.
Gabriel Makoi, Paramedic Co-ordinator.
Gabriel joined Knight Support as a qualified Clinical Officer. He assists Josephine in the smooth running of the Paramedic Department. He also conducts training in Basic and Advanced Life Support to various major tourist lodge staff.
Both Gabriel and Josephine joined KS in May 2004 and have been the back bone of the emergency response in Arusha and the Northern zone as a whole. They have experience in dealing with trauma in remote areas, with stab wounds, road accidents, buffalo attacks and various other traumas.
They and their team of Medical Personnel receive training and quarterly refresher sessions from UK Paramedics to make them a highly skilled team - rating them as second to none.

- George Mkumbo
FIRE UNIT
George Mkumbo, Fire Duty Officer
George started working with Knight Support as a temporary guard in July 2006. He was recruited into the Fire Department when the Fire services started in Arusha in March 2007.
He worked his way up to the position of Fire Duty Officer in August 2008 under the close supervision and continuous training of Fire Chief Billy Glad, Fire Officer Ashante Mahundi and Fire Officer Monji form Dar es Salaam.
Together with lead Firemen Gabriel Tevesaeli and John Tadeo they manage a team of 15 dedicated fire fighters.
All Fire Fighting personnel undergo rigorous 6 monthly appraisals and assessments by UK Fire Fighters.
