Knight Support were delighted to host London Ambulance Service Paramedic Alan Arm in Dar es Salaam for three weeks in April 2009.
Alan came here, with the kind permission of London Ambulance Service (LAS), to carry out the 6 monthly clinical audit and assessments on the Dar Ambulance Crews.
Alan also ran an Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians Course for 7 of the Knight Support EMT crew. The EMT's spent three weeks in intesive training with Alan and have really set the standards for our Ambulance response Crews.
It was with great sadness that Alan had to return back to the UK but we are very hopeful that he will return back to us in September 2009 (if we are really nice to him and his boss at LAS).
Alan was also assisted with some of the training by two fourth year Medical Students from the UK, Laura Anderson and Vicky Chaplin. More about them in the next news bulletin.
Alan and our very own Brian Fanthom carried out a joint training exercise watch this space for pictures and details.
