Allan Dawson and Claire Millins have not only come to grips with the weather but have mastered several phrases in Swahili as well. They have undertaken re-certification for the majority of Paramedics for intubation and semi-automatic defibrillation, with EMTs, BLS certification and with new Paramedics intubation training with semi- automatic defibrillation. A whole variety of subjects are being covered including patient handling and road accident procedures

Allan Dawson with Ambulance Drivers carrying out assessments ? all drivers are BLS trained and certified by the UK
Allan shows the tips of the trade to the drivers
Getting the patient to the ambulance walking, chair or stretcher but whatever it must be the right way for the patient.
Training Exercise for Road Crash ? using the equipment available.
Teamwork ? Paramedics and EMTs working side by side with Fire-fighters to extricate the casualty. Joint training works
Then just to make things interesting, change real patient for manikin and then spring cardiac arrest scenario - (thank you West Midlands Ambulance)Paramedics used the LifePack10 and then intubated the patient. The majority of Paramedics are now qualified to use manual defibrillation.
